BTW and FWIW, had a lean-out problem with a B&S 6.5 Hp Intek engine (Horizontal shaft) on a Sears Garden Tiller.
Replaced the carb kits twice (at $12.00 a whack)as engine would run normal for a short period of time and then go lean again. Each time I cleaned and blew out all bleed ports of the carb.
I found through a friend who works on G&L engines that this carb has a habit of going lean after a few years. I guess I was lucky since it ran for over 5 years without a problem using FP
in the fuel during storage.
When you get to this point save yourself some frustration and replace the carb with a new one at approx. $40.00.
