STP S 10590 CUT OPEN

Off of a friends 2017 Ford F-150 Lariat truck with 5.0 V-8 engine. Had this filter and Stp syn 5w30 for 5k. I put Magnatec 5w30 and XG 10575(FRAM ULTRA) in and on. Miles on trick is 48900 also

Yes, before everyone asks; this is made by Purolator and there are slices in ADBV.

Anti drainback valve so oil doesnt empty or leave the filter. Cuts werent deep also

Well, it looks like we have seen a Purolator that made it 5,000 miles without tearing.

Looks a lot like the Quaker State ones I've used, they seem to be more tear resistant than some of the other Classic style ones.

Johnny yes they are. They didn't go all way thru

I was joking that it was a drain back valve because I was saying if the cuts were deep, it would lead to oil draining out instead of what the anti-drain back valve is supposed to do (which is keep oil in).

That filter is missing some pleats near the seam. How hard can it be to make tight even pleating? Most cartridge filters do! Thanks for the C&P.

Oil looks nice and clean yet. I love those 5.0L Ford engines. Thanks for the C&P. I am going to switch over to a Fram Ultra filter on my 5.0 next oil change too.
