2013 F150 with 5.0. 88K miles. Last night truck ran fine for about 3 miles. Engine stumbled and then starts losing power over the next couple miles. Ends up without enough power to move but will still roughly idle. All the gauges are normal with no engine lights. I don't see anything going on under the hood. I changed the oil and checked the air filter a couple days ago and really haven't drove it. I checked the wiring connection that I could have disturbed with the maintenance. Pulling the PCV hose would stall the engine. I finally opened up the air box. The engine started running a little better. I was able to get out of the median and another mile to my original destination. Still not running great but was improving. Truck sat for a couple hours. Ran fine after that and drove home normal. I haven't messed with it today.

Possible causes?

I'm going to clean the MAF and throttle body today since they've never been touched. I'm thinking maybe some trash got into the MAF when I opened it up the other day.

Ran that bad and no codes? Thats really odd. I'd check battery connections and so forth. Consider the fuel filter.

Sounds like it never entered safe mode? That might help you diagnose.

A bad battery can cause odd drivability issues. If that's the original battery down in FL I would at a minimum test it and replace if bad.

Check for debris in the MAF sensor. One time I was going somewhere with my brother in his 2000 Grand Marquis. All of a sudden the car started acting like the transmission quit. We pulled over to the side of the road. The car would idle ( barely). Opened the hood and found the air cleaner housing improperly secured. Found a tree leaf on MAF sensor. No codes were set at all.

Maybe fuel pump. We had to replace one one my dads 2011 F150 5.0. Randomly wouldn't start (starter was cranking just fine) or wouldnt run well but there were no codes.

We can guess all day. Pull codes and see if there is a pending fault code. Pending codes wont trip a light. A fault has to occur in two separate key cycles to then become confirmed and turn the light on. After I think 50 key cycles pending codes get removed.

With no codes running that poorly my first suspect is a fuel delivery issue.

Pull Fuse F27 in the underhood fuse box & check for melted plastic/Over-Amperage condition.

A compete open in the circuit will cause quite a few trouble codes like Loss of Fuel Pump Module Communication with the PCM, Along with stalling & No starts.

In the beginning stages, Before failure......It can cause low power issues from low voltage at the fuel pump & fuel injectors. Ford has a TSB to relocate the Fuse from the Mini Fuse location to a higher amperage capable Cartridge Fuse location.

EL3Z-14293-A is the part number and I hate that I knew that immediately and could type it without referencing anything.

As soon as I read the OP this was the first thing I thought of.
