Just found an interesting webshop selling lawn equipment, snow blowers, small engines and parts.

What do you guys think about the prices of the Peerless transaxles?
They seem very inexpensive to me from Germany
In 2002 we had an issue with the housing of a MST 205 5F/1R transaxle. It is mounted on low-cost Murray with Tecumseh TVM 220 engine, we bougth it as a "Texas 110/96" in 1998.
The dealer offered me a new transaxle, for around 900 USD
I decided then to buy a new lower housing and some gasket material for around 350 USD
.
I don't no the serial number of it (to lazy to go out and check it right now), but the prices on the website seem fairly reasonable, compared to the German dealership. Aren't these prices realistic?
BTW, Anyone having experience with these transaxles? How are the needle bearings of the input shaft lubricated. The splashing oil cannot enter the bearings because of the washer behind the pinion gear. That is why I have installed a grease fitting there. Was that a good idea?
