I bought a 5 qt jug, and a 1 qt bottle from Walmart. The 5 qt jug says made in Belgium. The 1 qt says made in Germany. Same everything else on the containers.

So whats up with that? Shouldnt matter, huh? I poured them both in my truck. Im not going to worry about it, but just found in interesting.

They changed production between facilities a couple of times. The product should be equivalent.

Nothing. They have the same certs. No need to worry.

We have the made in Germany in Finland. Think we have diffrent Castrol edge ti 0w-40 than you in America. Atleast specification is not the same.

Exactly. Does the manufacturing origin really matter?

Here is the version sold in Canada. Typically from Germany and I think Belgium.

Looks to me its diffrent oil. Say noting about mb approval 229.5 and Ford WSS-M2C937-A spec

Yes, it has been, that's why I am puzzled.

The two Canadian bottles presented appear to have different stock numbers...

Snagglefoot posted the back label of EDGE 5W-40, NOT 0W-40. 0W-40 is 229.5 approved.

You can see a corner of "SAE" label is yellow, not black. 5W-40 SAE label is yellow.
