V8 owners... what mileage do you get?

2014 RAM, 5.7 with 8 speed and 3.91 gearing gets avg. 17-18 in the city.

2006 300C SRT8 6.1 with 5 speed NAG1 has a lifetime avg. of 17, everything from city driving to road course track days.

Fleet vans: 3500 Savanas and Express's, all 6.0 gas with 6 speed and either 3.42 or 3.73 gears cannot be clocked due to many hours of stationary operation! Curiously the trip computers all say around 6.

Silverados: only a couple around anymore, both are 5.3 with 3.73 gears. They get 15-17 depending on who's driving.

Just checked the Jeep this AM. It now has 34,000Km on it, lifetime average is 16.1L/100Km, which is 14.6 US Mpg.

The RAM average is 8.7L/100Km, which is 27 US Mpg.

It seems the Jeep is hitting right around EPA (15 combined), whilst the RAM is doing better, as it is rated for 27 highway, but only 22 combined.

18 average unloaded, 10mpg towing 4500lbs in the mountains, 13mpg towing same load around town.

2003 Dakota, 4.7 V8 w/ 5-speed manual and 4x4.

I took a drive today in the Corvette to Niagara Falls and on the way back set the cruise to 70 mph to see what kind of mileage I could get at that speed. I thought at that faster speed it might be closer to 35, so I was happy to see it still over 40! It still amazes me.

Wow wee that’s what a modern engine will do for you.

On my former 2015 Ram C.C. Big Horn 20-22 MPG at 80K miles combined. For my 18 Silverado 5.3 LT1 Z71 with the 5.3 at 1.4K 19.7 MPG combined.

Grand Cherokee with 5.7 HEMI, bought it 3 weeks ago, averaging 14.6 MPG, mostly city driving on my commute. I take my wife to work, drop a pair of 100 lb dogs at Puppy Camp then go to my office, so I'm more heavily loaded than most commuters. The 2.7L Kia Sportage only gets about 17.5 during A/C season, more like 19.5 in cooler weather, so I don't feel like I've lost much by driving the Jeep...my wife calls it Big Boy, and I guess it is if you compare it to the Honda CR-V it replaced.

The only V-8 we've ever owned is the old E350 extended length van.
Worst ever mileage was a hair over 13 mpg while the best was a hair over 16 mpg.
351W, an old design V-8 mated to whatever PCM setup Ford was using for the 1994 model year.

2000 Ram in signature -- around town & driving like an old man -- 12-15 mpg. -- highway doing 67mph 16-18 mpg all running 87 octane

5200 lb Lexus LS600h sedan. real average mpg is 21.9 mixed driving with more highway. highway 70+ is 25-26 with rpms at 1200.

says something about a 4 stroke engine. My 115 hp Yamaha 4 cyl 2 stroke gets about the same...

I get 20-22 driving around town and commuting to work, but my highway mileage is a little better at 26 going the speed limit in my Mustangs. They all (2000, 2010, 2018) get about the same mileage with the 2018 doing a little better at 27 on the highway with a little stop and go mixed in.
