32 to 1 oil mix okay to run in my 16 to 1 chainsaw.

Is 32 to 1 oil mix okay to run in my 16 to 1 chainsaw? Also can I use regular SAE 30 oil in my chain Bar Oil?

How old is a saw that calls for 16:1? Haven't heard of something taking that much oil in a loooonngg time.

My mix is 30:1. Used it for years and my Poulan that I bought in 1978 still runs great. We used it 3 weeks ago to cut up a large limb. However the plastic gas cap has swelled and now is hard to get in and out. Tried to buy a new one and there is nobody with one.

In EU we dont mix higher than 3%...

1:16 (6.25%) sounds sooo old...almost older then America....

Whatever ratio you mix, just make sure you use a racing castor oil. because it smells fantastic
