Is the TBN for Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5w20 and 5w30 enough to run it for 10K+ OCI?

My car is in my signature. Driving is 75% highway and 25% city.

Trying to decide between the two. My owners manual calls for 5w20 but I'm thinking of a thicker oil for the extra protection.

It's not direct injection. It's injected through the manifold. 10K miles OCI.

Then, I’d say it is very likely those oils can last 10k miles in it with 75% highway driving in Alabama climate. Doing a UOA to confirm it would be a good idea.

Vincent, if you check out the UOA section I believe you'll find one by Subierooroo. I think he did over 17k miles on PUP 5w20 with decent results. You should be good for a 10k run on that Fiesta with no GDI or turbo. Good luck.

Any quality synthetic will make that 10K interval with no problem. 10K is regular OCI now for modern cars.

Even the value priced supertech would do fine but you can get M1 or Penzoil Platinum for lower with rebate.
