Must have been SN Plus? Drastic change in additives.

Replaced with PP 0w-20 SN Plus.
 
Yeah. Valvoline Advanced full synthetic went to a decently high Molybdenum, boron and a bit of titanium additive package with API SN Plus. Calcium cut down to around 1400-1600 ppm and magnesium added up to 600 ppm.
 
Notionally it performs worse if you want to split hairs about ppm per thousand miles...
 
It will be interesting to see some uoa results after a few intervals of PP. I'm running VWB 5w30 in one of the cars now. This is the third straight interval along with a Valvoline filter. Consumption is zero which can't be said about some other oils I've used. I'm a Pennzoil fan also.
