Verry Interresting. Shows what a bypass filter can do. I wonder how a cheaper oil would fare.

That's an interesting thought. I'll never know, but maybe somebody will try it. Heck it costs less than $4 a quart. One thing that was a complete surprise using Amsoil was the increased in gas mileage. During the 100k miles I ran Mobil 1 I got 16 mpg on my many road trips. 15.5 against the wind and 16.5 with the wind. I just got back from a 700 mile trip to North Carolina tonight and got 17.2 mpg going down, and 17.8 coming home. The increase in fuel efficiency pays for the oil.
