Good evening oil filter porn addicts and oil nerds

Off of a 2016 f 150 truck with 5.0 engine and 4x4. Has 80k~ on truck. Had M1 0w30 and this filter for 4,xxx miles

Put a Tough Guard 10575 and some Edge 0w40 he supplied

Friend of mom.and stepdads in North Carolina. He is a 5k or 6months kinda guy. I said get a tough guard and EDGE or Magnatec.

Yeah hard to beat a tough guard. I have 18k on the 4386 in my camry. Pushing it to 20k.

Using a 4967 tough guard next

Totally not a waste of the filter. I love those 5.0 Ford F-150's and have a 2014 4x4 with only 47,000 rounds. My previous 5.4 Ford Lariat 4x4 4 door had 215,000 miles on it and had regular oil changes every 3,000 miles and didn't use a drop of oil when I sold it. I would rather spend a little money on a filter and frequent oil changes than have to add oil because it wasn't changed very often. Thanks for the C&P and the detailed pictures. I like the 2016 Ford F-150's! Thanks!

Same here, I love the Ultra, but find it's a waste to only use it 7500 miles on my Tacoma so the TG is my go to filter.

Don't know if this M1 one now sold at WM or one sold elsewhere, but looks good. Agree that at ~4k miles, looks like it had many more miles use left in it.

I switched to Fram Ultras years ago. If it weren't for the price I'd still be using them. Great filters imo.

That M1EP filter still has plenty of life on it.

TG(or even the new OCOD) or Motorcraft would be my go-tos for short runs.

Mobil 1 are good filters, I was using Fram Ultras which are good filters too but I was getting a lot
of startup noise with them. Thanks for the pics.
