1967 Minneapolis Moline tractor hydraulic fluid?

Hello all,

I recently had a hydraulic hose blow on my 1967 Moline Jet Star 3 tractor. I repaired the hose and refilled the system with regular AW 32 oil. This oil should be fine shouldn't it? I can not find any fluid specs on this old thing. The gasoline engine gets Delo 15-40

I think it will be OK.my 1957 case says to use 10w30 motor oil in it's hydraulics.

I was wondering about a ND 30 motor oil . I know a lot o the older forklifts call for it in the hydraulics. I will run the aw32 for a while. Whatever was in it before wasn't very thick at all.

You don't need it to be thick. I put sae30 in mine since its so old and has to have some wear. I didn't use nd30 because California banned it. I used regular sn rated 30wt.

Is it a shared system where the transmission shares the same fluid with the hydraulics? If it is I would choose something like Chevron THF1000 or Rotella TDH.
