Went to fit a $$$$ RYCO ST; synthetic media (99.8% @ 25 micron, the STD ones are 40um) filter the other day... Binned it! As I always pre fill filters where possible I noticed the inner crimp beyond the ADV and just inside the seal had oil flow up through it!!
The ADV was sealing, but rendered useless by the failed construction!
Seems I was not the only one see: http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/Product...ew-list-anchor. I think this guy would be stunned if he knew what bearing/crank damage was occurring.
Emailed RYCO be interesting if I get an intelligent response (I'm expecting a marketing one)....
