Hi
Sorry if this is a dumb question.
What is the simplest/cheapest way to retrieve some Oil from the Engine to send for analysis please?
The large extractors would do it but would be devil to clean out.
What do you guys do?
Many thanks.

Hi Gents
That is a really neat little device. Shame they are in Indiana and I am in Northern England

. I will try to source one closer to home. The company I bought my Analyser kit from offer no such device.

Blackstone might be willing to ship it to you, but it might be expensive.

Amsoil sells these pumps, too. If you can find a local Amsoil distributor, they might be ableo to hook you up.

Hi Doyall
Sorry for the late reply.
That looks a really neat and simple device. Does it have enough 'pull' to get the oil up out of the sump? I am not sure where I could source the syringe and tubes.

More than sufficient pull to take a sample. The syringe is a 2 cycle oil measuring device that came from WalMart (big-box mass-merchandise retailer in US if you are not familiar) connected to a rigid plastic tube sourced from Home Depot (big-box hardware retailer in US) connected by aquarium tube for disconnect capability. I am not familiar with retailers in the UK so I can not help you out there. Good luck though.
