Quaker State full synthetic is $19.97 in 5 quart jugs at Walmart currently. Quaker State conventional is $14.97. I don't know where the blend comes in at price.
But at $19.97 for 5 quarts, full synthetic is hard to resist.
Make sure you use a new crush washer for each oil change plus retain your receipts marking date, mileage and the VIN on them.

For the Tucson 2.0L GDI engine, I would consider a Dexos1 Gen2 synthetic. FWIW, Pennzoil Platinum is on sale at Walmart for $23 ($13 after rebate). Hard to go wrong for that price.

Hyundai factory fill is Quaker State and they recommend it. Full synthetic is priced good these days. Any brand of synthetic will do just fine.

I ran MotorCraft Semi-Syn 5w-30 (Red Jug at Walmart) in wifes 16 Tuscon (turbo engine) for over 50k miles before trading for her new 18 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport...Oil /filter change and tire rotation every 5k miles..

The 18 Santa Fe will get MC 5w-20 on same OCI...

Never any engine issues

I had heard they use Quaker State Semi Syn as factory fill from the Hyundai dealer but had no idea WM had the syn so cheap now.....even with rising oil prices. At 20 bucks a jug its hard to beat....thats in the same price range as WM oil.

Is this really necessary? I've never once on any car I've owned or on the '17 Elantra in my sig, used new crush washers and I have never once had an oil leak.

On my Toyota I've changed that once in 14 years it was looking a little rough. But it didn't leak.
