Queueing the first response about the first time the car has to jump a curb...

That said, not my choice in wheels for the job...

Most of our domestic pursuit cars have had relatively low profile alloys for years now. If there is kerb jumping to be done it's generally for a maneuver that is going to cause physical damage to the vehicle in any case (like blocking or tagging a vehicle being pursued), so I think the wheels are the least of the potential damage.

A number of States were considering the new Mustang, but the mandate is State owned vehicles must have a 5 star safety rating, and as the 'stang managed to rate so poorly they had to look elsewhere.

NZ Police looked at Stingers, but decided to stick with Holden - someone has to support Australia's own car, even if the Aussies don't.

Holden’s are now re-badged Opels from Europe. I’m not sure who deserves to be the recipiant of Australian citizen tax dollars. However. The Stinger is one mean looking four door car! If it’s the GT it has a 3.3 liter 365 HP twin turbo, DOHC 24 valve V-6.

If the lotteries gods smiled, I'd have one.

When the ex pursuit cars hit the used car market there will be a scramble.

When I first saw it, I remembered an old hot rod cartoon magazine from the '70s, when officer (something) cut through a vacant lot to head off someone and the kids remarked that if it wasn't a pursuit special, it would have broken a spring, bent a wheel or flipped...that's not what Oz cops do.

(same comic, a kid put the front half of a DKW with the back half of a VW...why do I remember this junk from 37 years ago)

edit, this one's not it, but these are the comic books I used to have

Are the 2WD Chargers or Mustangs any different though?

Locally, we do have F150's disguised as road construction/ utility trucks. We also have Explorers and a new Durango. Those are good for curb jumping I bet.

Alright class, where is Australia?

It's where Hitler was from, snug up against Germany!

We've had BMW pursuit cars.

But the older pursuits were so much better.

When I was in grade school we had to write in the country names on a blank map. Everyone knew where a certain country was on the map.

Today, many students can not locate Idaho on a US map.

BTTS, the Kia Stinger is a very big seller in Asia from what I hear.

That's precisely why I said "queueing".

It has come up before. Because to some, nothing is better than a bof crown Vic...

Here in NY, all of the troopers went from Crown Vics to Dodge Chargers a few years ago. I gotta say, they make good looking police cars.

I liked the Falcons the Bronze used in Mad Max.
