Nice if I had an enclosed yard.

The boundaries are defined similar to a dog fence. ie, wires in the ground. So, your lawn doesn't need to be enclosed.

I want the snowblower version. Get my driveway done before I get dressed some -32C winter morning - that would be convenient!

Maybe it would work, IDK I have a driveway and sidewalk with grass on both sides with bushes in between, also a curb bordering the street, would it know how to differentiate.

A friend of mine had one from another company back in 2000 in Helsinki so its nothing new or different, just a knock off.
The thing had a underground wire fence and returned to its charger when low then continued on its rounds. Pretty cool actually but I guess back then it was quite pricey.

My front and back yards are pretty reasonable and I don't mind mowing them...if this could handle the semi-grassy knoll past the woods and out by the street that has shrubs, trees, exposed roots and small boulders, and a drainage access, they would have a sale.

Combination of a Roomba and a Flymo? Heh heh 2500? I'd use the money to fund some kid's schooling. My DIL's younger brother went from mowing lawns to a B S in landscaping. He has a good sized landscaping outfit out of Mashpee down on the Cape.

I have to say that Mashpee might be my favorite MA town name.

We hired a guy with a degree in in landscaping to come up with a plan for our difficult area out by the street, sort of an extra front yard in front of the real front yard with a thick belt of trees between them. He came up with a very creative plan, the only problem was that he was very resistant to us making any modifications to suit our own tastes and budget...of course, we won in the end since we were paying him. We also got a quote/plan from the guy near us who basically mows lawns (who is no dummy and has a thriving business) and he suggested to just plant a long row of evergreens near the road, basically making a barrier...that certainly is a good way to go in some circumstances, but not what we were thinking of.
