Don't have any UOAs to share with you, unfortunately, but I've seen K24s run well on 5W-30 in Oklahoma in all weather. That was what we put in most vehicles that requested our cheapest (conventional) oil change at the Honda dealership that I worked at.

I haven't noticed one bit. Just back from a 600 mile trip and averaged 28+ MPG's....which is good for non-CVT Accord with bike rack and hauling 4 adults.
I run Castrol Edge 0/40 in my k24 series engine, runs smooth, zero oil consumption in 6k miles, gas mileage has not dropped at all. Avg 34.4 2012 Honda Accord.
I use Amsoil 5w-20 SS in my `07 Accord 4cyl. It uses 1 qt per OCI which is about 6000 miles for me. I do a 2 year OCI. Only drive it 3000 miles a year.
From what I have read, there is no chance of wearing this engine out even with a 20 wt.

I use 1/2 qt in 6500 miles with the Castrol Edge 0/40. But again the noack is 8.5. my mpg is 34.5 with a 5sp manual. I use that any day over a 20wt.

Why would there be adverse effects?
in hotter climates a 10-30 beats a 5-30, the first # is the starting base oil then viscosity improvers to reach 30, that is unless its a REAL group IV or V synthetic that the 30W passes the 10W spec WITHOUT viscosity improvers!!
