Valvoline Premium Blue 10w-30 WSS-M2C171-F1

For those interested I decided to email Valvoline on their timeline for getting the 10w-30 premium blue semi synthetic certified for use where Ford WSS-M2C171-F1(powerstroke) is required. Below is their response,

"The Premium Blue 10W-30 is currently in the testing and approval phases at Ford. This process can take a while. No official timeline has been given yet. However, we do expect it to be approved once this is completed."

Menards seems to have good stock of this oil. It would definitely be nice to have the certification.

I'd love to find this oil locally for use in my 6.0. All I can find is in VPB is the 15W40...

This will be a good alternative for the 6.7 if it's attractively priced. I don't see temps below 20 degrees very often but it does get into the teens on occasion and it would offer a little better cold start capability.
