Motul 5W30, 3000KM/12 mo, 06 Acura RSX-S 161K KM

This is a UOA for my 06 RSX Type S. It was only driven 3000KM (including a track day) since the car was not driven in the winter but the oil was in the car for a year. The comments from Blackstone indicate that both the oil and the engine were in good condition so I am pretty happy about that.

For the filter, I just use OEM Honda filters.

One thing to note, this car takes ~5 quarts of oil but only ~3 quarts came out in the oil change so it seems to burn quite a bit.

First time posting UOA. Any thoughts/observations are welcome.

You didn't check the oil during the OCI even after the track, so you didn't know it was down 2 quarts until you drained it?

that's correct. i forgot to check the oil level after the track day.

Low wear metals. High tbn and flashpoint. Viscocity in range.

What more would you want?

Almost looks like you refilled the missing two quarts with fresh oil then took the sample.

Nice. Looks like no track prep was done to insure the car actually drove home after the track day and didn't end up blowing the engine because it was low of oil ($5 worth of oil) < $1,500 replacement engine.

2 qts in 3k kilometers is a decent amount, although i guess the track would really expose any consumption the engine had before. Looks great for being low, on a track, and at its age
