I recently used Gold Class wax on my cars for the first time. It has a nice shine but is sensitive to being applied in the shade. I was applying it under a tree and a little bit of sun hitting a panel caused the wax to harden and become blotchy. The cleaner waxes I used in the past weren't this sensitive.
For the wash. I use Gold Class shampoo. IME, other shampoos don't foam up as well as GC does.

Two different animals entirely. Gold Class is a hybrid of sorts with carnauba wax in the fold. Ultimate is a purely synthetic sealant containing no wax.
Generally carnauba gives a deeper more brilliant look than a sealant but the sealant lasts considerably longer. Pick the one that does what you want.
