Mercedes used to issue “High Mileage” grill badges for the following thresholds:

250,000 km
500,000 km
750,000km
1,000,000 km
1,000,000 miles

You can download an application form from the net.

So they still do this?

Why there is only one badge in miles is strange. 1000000 miles is a lot more that 1000000km

Thats a lot of miles inside a land area around the size of New Mexico in square miles! That thing never stopped moving for long.

Ya my '82 240D came with 2 badges. It had 320K on it when I get it.
Ran the vin and I was the 7th owner

Drove it for a few years and gave it to my brother. Got rear ended and totaled.

If that Greek claim is true then the vehicle was a privately owned taxi.
Basic E class diesel MB were a taxi favorite in many countries for many years.

As I recall Volvo offered badges at 50,000 mile intervals past 200,000. I ordered the 200,000 mile badge for my late, lamented V90 and it arrived quickly, in very nice packaging. They don't do the grille badges any more, it's an adhesive metal label...I put mine on the tailgate.

Maybe I can get a high mileage badge for my 2006 sentra that is near 200K miles?
It should read "200K miles. thanks for a great car and no car payments"
