I ran into this gentlemen at the local hardware store. I couldn't believe my eyes when I pulled in. I have never seen anything like it.

The craftsmanship was incredible. Beautiful wood work.

Reminds me of a Fairey sailing dinghy I did a course on when I was a teenager. Can't remember the class name now, might have been Albacore. Hot moulded double diagonal wooden hull, varnished. A looker.

Thats a semi industrial process in a mould though. His looks to be conventional carvel construction though with very thin planks.

Call me a stereotyper but I bet hes got Scandinavian (Norwegian favorite) ancestry.

And good contacts in a timberyard.
