So I got to thinking, since walmart has trailer tires in my size (B78-13ST) for $27
, maybe the time has come to refresh the rubber on my tow-dolly-of-doom. I've noticed the tires being hot when I get home, not sure if this is normal, but sketchy to me. The old sidewalls look passable on first glance:
But then flex them a little and SWEET BABY JESUS:
DOT code might be a 3-digit, might be a 5. Curious about the smaller digits. I guess you could say these were made in Xmas week of 1993, but what of the other two digits? Should I get them on a lottery ticket?
Incidentally these come off real easy with the HF changer-- don't know why so many people buy the mounted ones.
