I am looking for feedback and updates:
I have a 97 F 250 Powerstroke with 175 K on the clock

I was running Wolfs Head 15w40 Synthetic Blend in CJ-4 However my newest shipment is now CK-4 as the published paper by Ford: This is not acceptable for Powerstrokes. Any change in this?

Options for CJ-4 Approved oils out there? My Truck has run NOTICABLILY Better on the Wolfs Head 15w40 over all the others, smoother, quieter, more pep.

What options do we have out there?

For your '97 you can run anything you want, CJ or CK in the 15w-40 weight. The CK specs Ford is concerned with is only with the newer 2011 and up engines. But if Wolfshead is what you like, use it with confidence.

While Ford may only be concerned with 2011 and up PStrokes and oils, their current list of approved oils dated 5/15/18 is so extensive that the topic seems to be a non issue. Lots of all the different viscosities..... 10w30, 5w40, and 15w40. CJ-4 and CK-4.

The latest 10 page long Ford Approved list.......
