I took my 2018 MKZ, which is a company-owned car, in for service at our in-house facility two days ago. They use M1 5W-30. I have no question but wanted to just share this information.

In the owner's manual the recommended (synthetic blend 5W-30) and optional (synthetic 5W-30) oil both have the WSS-M2C946-A spec.

Extremely cold climates (-22F/-30C) calls for a synthetic blend 0W-30 with a WSS-M2C953-A1 spec.

Info starting on page 388: Owner's Manual

Sounds like your "in house facility" buys good oil....

versus many fleet services buying the cheapest stuff available.
