Lots of info out there just by Googling it.
Here's one I found quickly.

As many differences in 2T oils as there are in 4 stroke.
Ash, ashless, conventional, synthetic, TC, TD, smokeless, great smelling smoke....
And the latest, multivis 2T oils... Valvoline introduced a 10w40 2T oil, which makes no sense to me at all, but I guess whatever the market will bear.
Do a little research, lots of options, some solid science in 2T oil technology.

??? Maybe Valvoline wanted to say it is SAE40 two stroke oil (Usually they are SAE30)...

Add ashless 2 cycle for Toro snowblowers.

Ashless will say TC-W3 on the label. All marine outboard uses the same. It's because those engines run cooler than other 2 cycle engines.

I know people that have run regular 2 cycle in Toro snowblowers for years without a problem but it's suppose to gum up the internal parts. I wouldn't do it.

Which ever you use, I'd prefer synthetic, and at 32:1, max 50:1.
