Not definite but this could be the last service for my free craftsmen mower. I'm planning on treating myself this fall when mowers go on sale.

I would normally never mix oils but wanted to clean up my shelves made a home brew for the mower 50/50 motorcraft 5w30 synthetic blend/shell 10w30 conventional. Anyone see any harm? I don't care to think so lol especially if this the last season for the mower

Blew out air cleaner and put fresh 93 octane cut with engineered fuel.

Sharpened blade on bench grinder. I'm happy and so is the mower.

As long as it has the proper amount of oil, that engine won't care either way. lol
It's still a 30w on the high end, so no harm there.

Yes sir

Was just clearing the shelf of what was laying around. 10w30 Shell was generator oil change and 5w30 synblend was leftovers from the 98 f150

Whats lazer?

Home Depot Canada’s Store Oil. Whoops. It’s Laser, not Lazer.

What does this have to do with a tuneup? Air cooled engines run hotter and do better with straight 30wt if it's something that never needs to run in cold weather, but synthetic will work.

You shouldn't need 93 octane, and why would it be the last season if it runs good? Unless the deck is rusting out or something, most things on a mower can be fixed, even if it means buying a whole new carb because you don't want to spend 1/2 hour and $15 on a cleaning and carb rebuild kit.

Anyway, mower engines aren't terribly complex, there isn't much on them that can't be repaired in under an hour.

I've got a quart of 'white lightning' that would probably get it to fire up.
At least for a short while.

Drink some and you won't care about the yard anymore.
