Third UOA. This time a switch to Total Quartz Ineo after first two fills of Castrol Edge Professional LL03. Only reason for the switch was the Total was cheaper. Looks like the wear pattern continued unfettered. Can't complain. No mods on the car. DPF, EGR, tune all stock as she came, post DieselGate fix (Phase 1). I haven't taken it in for Phase 2 yet.

If that was M1 the crows would shrill from the tree tops …

The oils are very similar. The only real difference is that Total has a nice slug of boron. Good looking report.

Very nice.

Paging user ‘CleverUserName’ who thinks that you have to delete everything and use HDEO to get good wear figures. You’ve proved that just isn’t the case.

Hey smart guy, good to hear from you. FYI The 2015 Jetta/Golf TDIs got an updated engine and whole new emissions system with post injection DOC and DEF w/ SCR. That’s why he isn’t shedding iron and other metals like crazy.

Oil choice is less of a factor with these engines, however if he had used a quality 5w40 HDEO his wear numbers would be even lower...
