Do all oxygen sensors use the same size socket?

For the ones that require a socket to remove, yes.

The original oxygen sensors were manufactured on an old Bosch spark plug production line. Once established, there was little reason to change the design.

7/8 or 22mm I have run into some that 21mm fits better (tighter) due to rust belt erosion. To clean the threads out an 18mm spark plug thread chaser is the same, most of them have a 14mm and 18mm end. They are sold at most parts stores for cheap.

Just changed out a 160k one on my Hyundai Accent. The O2 sensors stayed in the bung. The 18mm thread chaser was no good because it's not tapered and not for cutting new threads.

Also works on M18x1.5 spark plug threads;

That's similar to what I got. AutoZone has them in stock. But if the O2 threads stayed in the bung, that will not work.

I ended up using a 3/8" NPT tapered thread tap and then the M18x1.5 chaser.
