This one seen a winter season and a bunch of highway use. This one uses that dreaded combo valve. It was rock hard. Never again.

Yes, thanks, I always look at the filters. I've never been a fan of those combo valves.

Well, now that Champ makes Supertech filters, you won't have to deal with that style combo valve again.
I used to be a Supertech supporter, but not so much with the last 2 I cut open.
Brittle media and a combo valve that takes up 1/3 or more of the media space.

Not sure what application this filter used for, but the previous ST9688 (7317 size) used a metal dome end bypass and was slightly longer than the 6607. In my observation, there's few applications where the 7317 application won't fit/work in place of the 6607.

Overall I preferred the Wix made ST line to the current line. Most of the new Champ made ST line are ecores with combo valves. At least the Wix made line had popular applications like the aforementioned 9688/7317 and 3614 used classic design, no combo valve.

Current Champ ST line has no 7317 application, and the 3614 is an ecore with combo valve. My.02
