Atv battery charging

I'm charging my small ATV battery with the plug with two alligator clips. The plug has a green light and a red light. After just a couple of minutes both lights are green and red. There is no change. How long should I charge this thing? Thank you.

If it is a small maintainer/charger the battery may be too far discharged for it to work. May need to try a higher amp charger. Some larger chargers have an "activate/start" setting that will often revive a totally dead battery to the point a maintainer can take over.

Jumper cable it to your car *not running* and let it slowly ooze current on down.

Get a multimeter from harbor freight or similar. Keep battery charged to 12.8V resting.

What kind of charger? what is the current voltage of battery.

if its too low possibly try jumping it from a spare car battery/tractor etc for 5-10min or so.

then putting it on the charger.
