So, i got some EDGE 5W30 today. I had 5w20 EDGE in old ford focus that got totalled. It had almost 12k on it

I am thinking of doing 8k oci first off then trying for 10k. 90% highway and very little stop and go

Thanks

Go 10k and forget about it

I'll try to do this. Never ran a quality oil 10k. Have a few WIX/NAPA sample kits left too

Zee9, (is that for HID replacement kits?

) car51 seems to go for max B4TB, so maybe our incessant posting about running a syn 2x longer than conventional finally broke thru. I'm pretty sure no conventional I could have bought challenged my 17k run of PUP @ $1.67/qt... and returned basically 1ppm Fe/1k miles and all other wear metals at or below universal averages @ 7.2k

Data is the great convincer

Me Mr.synthetic is thinking about going back to conventional only to eliminate old junk in my stash but I'm having a hard time coping with the thought of it.
I'm having the same issue using filters other than Ultras. Sometimes it is comforting to have your head in the sand!

Yes, SubieRubyRoo; trying for best bang for buck.

People may have a stroke when I C&p a 16k ran TG 4386

A lot of hand ringing over a 10K OCI with a quality synthetic oil. Been doin it for 40 Years.

Fords are easy on oil.... Mine are anyway.
10k oci's often seem wasteful

Son I like your plan. Makes sense to me. Hope you've been doing good. Always good to see you on here.
