Uberti won't sell their lightning pump unless you promise it's for a wall hanging...

So kicking around the web on a cold Sunday arvo, looking at what might be a replacement for the B92 in .44Mag, and came across the Circuit Judge...looked like a fun gun.

Found a few used on Oz used gun sales, and pretty decent prices.

Until a little more research...on my state.

Looks like I might have to find additional barrels for my Rossi break action, and get all the tactical plastic.

That's too bad. Here in South Florida, we have few restrictions and I enjoy backyard fun on a regular basis. Maybe I'll shoot the 50 Beowulf today. I purchased some new copper-polymer 200 grain frangible ammo that has a far higher muzzle velocity (normal 50 Beo ammo is 335g) . Just wanna see what it does.

That is sad reading. No slingshot? Stun gun? Pepper spray? It seems you're permitted few resources to defend yourself. Do you have any idea what you're actually allowed to own?

This thread isn't going to last long IMO...

Jeff,
I have more firearms and do shoot way more since 1996. Up until then, I was happy to shoot rabbits and matchboxes with my Dad, brother, and uncle...50-100 rounds a year.

How do you know you're even getting a functioning gun. No I think they are just looking for a loop hole to let themselves out of certain gun liabilities.

When you live under those conditions you make it work, like our Cali members. The common but unrealistic advice to move is pretty tough when it's the entire continent.

It's far more unrealistic to live the remainder of your life being a slave to an out of control, freedom robbing government. I wouldn't be able to get out of that place fast enough. Even if it was with only the clothes on my back.

So, looking at the prohibited list:

1. Any machine gun, sub-machine gun or other firearm
capable of propelling projectiles in rapid succession
during one pressure of the trigger.

2. Any self-loading rimfire rifle (including any such
firearm described elsewhere in this Schedule).

3. Any self-loading centre-fire rifle (including any such
firearm described elsewhere in this Schedule).

4 . Any self-loading or pump action shotgun (including any
such firearm described elsewhere in this Schedule).

5. Any self-loading centre-fire rifle of a kind that is
designed or adapted for military purposes.

6. Any self-loading shotgun of a kind that is designed or
adapted for military purposes.

7. Any firearm that substantially duplicates in
appearance (regardless of calibre or manner of
operation) a firearm referred to in item 1, 5 or 6.

8. A firearm, not being a pistol, of the Uberti or Armi-
Jager brands, or any similar firearm fitted with a
revolving ammunition cylinder (other than a firearm
manufactured before 1920).

9. A shotgun fitted with or designed to be fitted with a
drum magazine of the “Striker 12” assault shotgun
type or any similar weapon.

10.Any firearm to which there is attached any article or
device capable of muffling, reducing or stopping the
noise created by firing the firearm.

11.A firearm, not being a pistol, fitted with a stock that
is specially designed so as to be readily detachable, or
to operate on a swivel, folding or telescopic basis.

12.A firearm made up in the form of a stylographic or
propelling pen or pencil, capable of being used for the
discharge of gas, bullets, shot, dye or pyrotechnic
flares.

13.A firearm capable of discharging by any means:
(a) any irritant matter in liquid, powder, gas or
chemical form, or
(b) any pyrotechnic flare or dye, or
(c) any article known as a “paint-ball”.

14. A firearm that:
(a) substantially duplicates in appearance some
other article (such as a walking stick, walking
cane or key ring), and
(b) disguises or conceals the fact that it is a firearm.

15. A cannon or other weapon by whatever name known
of a type which will expel a projectile by the action of
an explosive or other propellant, and which has a
barrel with a bore in excess of 10 gauge, not being a
firearm of the Very or rocket type designed and
intended for use for life saving or distress signalling
purposes, an antique muzzle loading firearm, or a rifle
or shotgun manufactured before 1920.

16. Any firearm which, or part of which, has a dimension
less than the minimum dimension prescribed for the
firearm or part by the regulations.

17. Any imitation or replica of any firearm (including any
imitation or replica pistol, blank fire pistol, shortened
firearm, machine gun or sub-machine gun) unless it is
of a type approved by the Commissioner.

18. Any device known as a “powerhead” that can be
attached to the end of a spear gun and that is
designed to propel a projectile by means of an
explosive.

You can own a single shot... as long as it doesn't have a silencer or look like anything else?

8. A firearm, not being a pistol, of the Uberti or Armi-
Jager brands, or any similar firearm fitted with a
revolving ammunition cylinder (other than a firearm
manufactured before 1920).

You can have a revolver, but not if it's a long arm???

Australia, where the wild life kills you.

Have you seen the natural threats faced? I'd think flame throwers and similar weapons would be mandatory issue for citizens

Wow, I have four guns that wouldn't be banned, and three of them are for my kids:

1. Savage Rascal single shot .22LR
2. Marlin youth mag-fed .22 bolt
3. Savage mag-fed .22 bolt
4. Over/under youth .410 shotgun

All my other rifles and shotguns would be prohib

They failed themselves when they all lined up like Lemmings to turn them in the first time. That would never happen here. And the only way you would get cops to go door to door to confiscate them, is issue all of them a heavy dose of PCP first. Look at what happened in New York with the, "Safe Act". Few if any are complying. They know who they are. But even as stupid as Cuomo is, he's not dumb enough to send cops door to door.

I'm not going to dance on egg shells over violating some silly policy. Guns ARE political, period. Always have been, and always will be. And no amount of policy will change that. Why bother with a gun forum if you can't talk about the implications of owning them? That's silly. As is often said. Guns have 2 enemies. Rust and politicians.
