Good morning BITOGERS. I have decided not to use the 8316 FRAM filters.

If anyone here can use these filters PM me

Good morning Adam. Share a little more data on what prompted this decision.

I am also curious as to why you've decided not to use them?

These filters were spec'd for the Ford Zetec because the ADBV kept oil in the filter and prevented dry start noise....eventually Ford (Motorcraft) discontinued the FL-2005 (which this filter is based on) and started recommending the ubiquitous FL-400 in it's place. I have used some of these (that I had left over from my Zx-2) in an FL-400 application without an issue...

They will fit my 09' Camry but gasket diameter isn't perfect match. If a Toyota spec'd a 3614; this filter could be used smile

Shipping is going to be high... might be better to take them back to walmart & get a gift card.

If they were "ultras" I would be tempted! grin

I got a bunch of ST8316's a few years back for 75 cents on clearance.
I put them on most anything that takes a 3/4"x16 thread filter.
