Cue the obligatory ďthere is still a Kmart open?!?!?Ē Comment.

Good price.

Yeah...most kmarts have shut down...at least in the North east USA...ie plattsburgh and vermont. If you can still find an open kmart why not...sears is completely gone in canada..i give it 1-2 years max before sears and kmart USA becomes non existant

That's why I had $10 in points. It's been accumulating since our kmart closed last year.

Glad to see they are on sale again smile

Of course, this sale isn't valid at Kmarts that are closing. They just get 10% off the regular price.

Smittys needs to find a new retailer.

Dollar General has 15000 locations vs less than 300 Kmarts.

What's real lame to see are Go-Cart tracks or Paint-Ball ranges in old stores such as those.

I must see what became of the Lodi, NJ K-Mart. The northern half of the building is now an ALDI grocery store. They aren't bad.

They're so slick and different (little pop-up cash drawer) and only offer bags for sale.

Ya Kmart was awesome back in the '80-90s. But when Sears bought them out, Prices went STUPID high !!! In some cases 30% more than Target/Wal-Mart !!!

I'm pretty sure that's what killed them !!

That...and stupid marketing decisions! A friend of mine was a regional rep for kmart, and mentioned that they were "slashing" prices on thousands of popular items in order to boost sales. In reality, they reduced the prices of 1000's of items by about 5 cents! That may be a big cut for a merchant ($1000's per week, maybe), but not much for the consumer (50 cents per shopping trip, maybe). That big price cut apparently didnt have the effect they expected, lol.

Anyone know if Valvoline MaxLife is still on sale? I know my Kmart had a special display set up 3 or 4 weeks ago and had it for $17.99 for a 5 qt. jug, but I didn't have any points to burn then (and hardly any automotive stuff shows in their online inventory to check).

As for Kmart's prices, if you are spending money, you are doing it wrong. I've spent maybe $100 out of pocket back in December and with getting points back and various promotions/surveys/contests, I've probably acquired several hundreds more in free merchandise. I am kind of running out of things to buy at this point.

Agree... one can easily make $1 a day playing Xtra spins in SYW

Is it bad that I charged a $5000 hot tub on my Sears card so I could get points (I almost charged a car two years ago but couldnít think of enough stuff to buy)? Literally everything I own is from Sears or Kmart due to the SYW game (which actually existed as the Sears Premier card in the mid 1990s, SYW is just a dusted off version of the same thing). I think I got $4000 worth of free stuff last year.

That said are these oil sales still going? Kmart sales tend to last a while I was just there but my wife is pregnant and I didnít want to make her walk all the way back to auto when we were just looking for lawn and garden. Our Kmart is loaded to the helm with oil (and everything, itís probably the one of the nicest Kmarts in the country). I donít need it but wonít pass on a deal.
