I serviced this truck a couple of months ago; this was the 2nd service.
Wanted to clean the previously neglected crankcase.
Even though I had recently topped off the oil, not that much drained out.
Bummer...
I shoulda checked the dipstick before pulling the plug.
Will change again in maybe 5K.
If she don't blow...

Comment: As many have noted, the oil filter location on this truck is probably the worst possible for a do-it-yourselfer. It's really well-concealed behind steering / suspension components, with little room to get tools on it. I managed to grab it with Chanel-Lock pliers and move it in small increments until I could turn it by hand. I'm glad I only will need to do that job about twice per year! That said, I still love this truck!

2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser.

Pennz Platinum Ultra 5W30.
Purolator "Boss" filter - first run of this newer model.

Still runnin' like a top. Had to get a new muffler as some CA FWY debris shredded it. Went with a no-baffle, stainless model to free up some spent gas.

Pennz has proven to be an excellent oil.
