Can I use this filter?

Hey folks.
Greetings from Canada
I have a mobile1 M1 110 filter from one and half year I guess. Brand new sealed in original packaging.
It stayed on my rack in house properly but when I moved places, I just threw it in my car trunk. Stayed in -30 degree centigrades for quite many weeks. It was also not sitting straight but lying no matter how.
Can I use it now? I mean is there any seal that could have gone brittle due to storing in extreme cold. Is lying upside down might have caused any issue?

Use it with no worries. It will get cold on the engine too. They are made for those conditions.

Use it with confidence. Those filter are designed to be mounted vertical or horizontal. Being left up side down in your trunk did no damage.

As long as there is no visible rust from being outside then it should be OK to use.

Ok normally I do not open the oil filter packaging and just give to my mechanic. I will open it and see the rust . As it is sealed, there should be no rust

Other than they were probably a lot cheaper back then? Or maybe they weren't... ???

I have an M1-205 filter I bought 2 years ago. It's been sitting in the garage all this time and there's rust on the base plate.
