A constant check on oil level is needed. How about running a HDEO like a 15w40?

Buddy, don't calculate your oil consumption by how much is "drained at the oil change." Check your oil level every fuel fill-up and keep it topped off, or at least between the LOW and FULL marks on the dipstick.

2 qts... Holy cow. Yeah that motor likely has 4 and 7/8 qt capacity. It is likely similar to my VQ 3.5 in my car. Hopefully keeping it topped off this run will be very helpful.
