Can you use TranSynd (TES 295 rated) in a 6L80?

I contacted Castrol about this, and here was the reply:

Thank you for contacting Castrol North America.


Castrol TranSynd is designed to be suitable only for Allison and GM transmissions requiring DEXRON-IIIG or previous DEXRON type fluid. Castrol TranSynd does not meet DEXRON-VI specifications therefore this fluid is not recommended where DEXRON-VI is specified.

Castrol Transmax DEXRON-VI ATF and Castrol Transmax Full Synthetic Multi-Vehicle ATF fluids are certified and approved by General Motors for all cars and trucks that require DEXRON-VI.

Dex 6 didn't meet TES-295 ten years ago when I was working.
Maybe it does now? But I'd be surprised if GM was putting something that good in their pass car units. Also I'd be surprised if Allison was interested in the lower vis of the Dex 6.
We developed TranSynd to excel in the transit, trash truck, etc vocations where the duty cycles are the most rigorous.
