Pennzoil Synchromesh from eBay

I bought a few bottles from eBay from a good seller. When I opened the bottles, the seal came off with the cap.

The fluid looks and smells like trans fluid, I suppose.

Use, or toss?

The seller DID provide a refund.

Bottles are from Jan 2012. I bet the glue went bad on the cap. Either way it's still likely newer than the 03 fluid that's in there now.

I think I'm going to send it!

All the brand new Pennzoil Synchromesh bottles I've ever seen at Autozone aren't even sealed. The cap simply screws off and there's no foil seal or ring seal of any kind.

There was a paper-based foil seal under the cap, but the glue was dried up.

AC Delco gear oil does have a foil seal under the cap, which is what I was expecting.

I would not use. Take the refund money and get some from your Local parts store
