40W ND OIL?

Can you buy 40w non-detergent oil? If so, please point me in the right direction.

So what do you buy for the shop air compressors?

have to buy air compressor oil @ 3x the price.

A well regarded mechanic told me way way back in the 60s
that ND oil isn't really ND, just low detergent.

For my shop air compressor I have never used any ND oil since I bought it in 1988. The owners manual called for 10w40.
