I have lots of chrome on my motorcycle. I do have chrome polish. However I have a few questions.
1. Is chrome polish better than using say a mild polish compound and auto polish?
2. Is fine steel wool a good thing to use as well?
3. I was reading aluminum foil can be rubbed on chrome too. Anyone do this?

Use Coca-Cola (original) to clean tarnished/poqued chrome, and chrome polish on my « antiques ». Never tried anything else so can’t comment, but this always worked well for me.

i HAVE USED ALUMINIUM foil on chrome but I wouldn't do it routinely since its quite abrasive.

I'd save it for when you perhaps have to remove some rust.

Looking at videos makes me think Coke and aluminum foil would work really well.

Steel wool is made of steel.

Quite difficult to get rid of all the tiny steel fragments.

Which will rust, unless perhaps its stainless steel wool, which is rather less available than aluminium foil.

I just use a spray stainless steel cleaner..main priority is to remove any water droplets and not to let the chrome tarnish..needless to say always buff to a shine to remove any road contaminants

I've always just used Turtle Wax Chrome Polish. It really makes the chrome pop, and it leaves a fairly long lasting protective coating as well...
