Folks I have purchased a new home and it sits on 2.8 acres. My Snapper 21” commercial Ninja just isn’t going to work for that large area. My search for the right mower at the right price began. I wanted a 50” garden tractor but, it’s getting slim pickings for that type of mower. The typical Lowe’s, Home Depot & Tractor Supply riders are cheap and not built to last. I started looking at mid-range zero turns. I settled on the Toro MX 5000. I got to mow with it today. WOW! I am impressed! It won’t be long before the scheduled 5hr. oil change. To be ready, I stopped by Walmart and picked up 3qt. of Motorcraft 10W30 and a FRAM Ultra XG4967. Take note Zee0Six.

Per the Toro manual, conventional 10W30 can only be used under 80 degrees F.

I'd run straight SAE30, SAE40, 15W40, or synthetic 10W30 / 5W40 at a minimum in GA.

I have a SS Toro zero turn, which is the more basic version of the MX. I have a 42". Awesome machine indeed. The Timecutter name fits it very well.
