Normally $499, offer is good through April 15th.

I already have the Gen4 drill and impact driver kit and was thinking about getting the circular saw and reciprocating saw, but at this price I just bought this kit instead.

Free batteries and service for life with registration. That is a good deal on any tool, and the first time I noticed that. Nice!

Just go back and ask for a price match. If not buy a new one and return it with the old receipt.

Reminds me of the old VCR tape wars of the late 70's. Betamax (Sony) vs VHS. At that time I choose Sony's Betamax and we all know what happened to that format.

Last year I choose the Ryobi line of cordless tools for around the house, and have been building on that ever since. The Ridgid brand is produced by the same company that manufactures Ryobi, but there are enough differences that they are not compatible in most cases.

Hopefully each brand will stick around and one of us won't be left with unsupported or non-updated tool selections.

Anyone want to buy a Sony VCR? LOL!!

+1. Shouldn't be a big deal.

Are these all brushless or traditional design? May be a good deal regardless, but marginally better if brushless.

These are not brushless. The brushless version is normally $549 and is on sale for $499.
