I somewhat agree although with a welder and minor skills most can be fixed unless they are totally rotted.

Hartville hardware also has msrp parts (same as everyone else) and sometimes on amazon they will sell them cheaper(or more$$$)

Rand is 100% correct on hartville hardware. You can call them, too. I have 2 recent buying experiences and they shipped fast and were cheaper. I had to add to one online order and they worked with me. Just go to Amazon and they will be one of the alternate sellers on the bottom right of the page. Type in your part number and they will "always" show up as a seller.

I couldn't find much on their personal website

It's been years since I rebuilt spindles and whatnot on a mower deck, but check the JD riding mower sections at MyTractorForum or TractorByNet. Lots of good info. I mail ordered all my parts aftermarket.
