Walmart here finally decided to compete against Canadian tire.

That would be awesome if they actually went toe-to-toe with them nationwide. Even that partsource sale posted today was not that great, canadian tire was still cheaper before the no sale tax promotion. It really goes to show you that canadian tire co will ensure you have to enter a CT store to get the best deals. If WM starts selling good oil cheap, that might change and we may start getting the cheap oil and filter specials like our friends south of the border. Partsource has a much better filter selection than CT, it would make sense.

Did they have XW40s? That seems to be the caveat sometimes.

The PP is in the most recent flyer at $28.88, I'm not sure if it will stay at that price.

I don't even bother going to my Walmart for auto stuff, but it is good to see for price matching at Canadian Tire.

My walmart has one shelf, can hold about 4 jugs deep, and typically only has one odd ball weight for each brand. Totally useless.

That's always the problem at WM. Is the product actually there? A couple of the Walmarts here have terrible oil aisle stock, even in the ILSAC items.

PP is actually pretty good deal, especially if you combine it with $10 MIR.

I'm also surprised that they sell AFE same price with regular M1.

Walmart's oil selection is pathetic compared to CT now. I remember when Canadian Walmarts used to have a much bigger selection of oil. Now it seems no matter what Walmart I visit around here, they have a poor amount of choices, and even in the ones they do have they are often out of stock. It's like they don't even care at all about selling anything automotive anymore.

Yes, the Penzoil Rebate adds to the savings. Good deals.

Yes, the Penzoil Rebate adds to the savings. Good deals. With the rebate that's $C 18.88 per 5 litres (5.28 USQt) or $US 2.79 per US Quart.

Walmart Canada has become a Supermarket for all intents and purposes. Over 50% of sales are from food

My last oil stash I purchased at PS beat CT by $8.00 dollars a jug. It was PP and PUP, which I had originally purchased at CT but returned once I seen the price at PS.

I just checked the current CT flyer but didn't see the Pennzoil on sale? Maybe just a western thing which is likely the case with WM as well, but I haven't checked yet. $28 dollars for a a 5 liter jug is a great deal, imo.

I just checked, and purchased some PP 5W-20 and 5W-30 for $28.88 at my local Wal-Mart. Cheers2

I was also glad to see it was D1G2 oil. That is, by far, the best price I have ever seen/paid for PP or PUP. Just reading this post also reminded me about the rebate as well.

Thanks for posting this up, Snagglefoot. Cheers2
