Well, whatcha think? One down and 2 more to go.
Is a little glue is left on the walls going to ok knowing we are gonna do that texture look?

Remember, you are gonna give me an online course in "knockdown on the walls."

Not bad. Hard to tell from the pics just how much glue is left. Here's what we do: Get a grill scrubber like this:
https://www.scotch-brite.com/3M/en_US/scotch-brite/tools/~/Scotch-Brite-Heavy-Duty-Grill-Scrubber/?N=4337+3294529207+3294631677&rt=rud

Spray one wall at a time with your fabric softner water mix and lightly scrub the wall, you don't want to remove the paint, then wipe it down with a terry cloth towel, get it good and clean.

When it dries prime it with https://www.rustoleum.com/product-catalo...urface-sealer/. After that do your spackling and repair work. Once done you can prime it again with Zinsser Bullseye 123 primer. Then the knock down.

Yes time consuming, but I am giving you a method which will give good long lasting results.

Let me know when you're ready for the knock down.

OP/GEBO,

I'm quoting this part from Demarpaint's post to make sure you understand is critical.

If not (happen to me), the glue will make some fine cracks under the paint (it absorbs water, then shrinks).....

Yes! Or the knock down will pop off the paint on the wall under it, if/when the residual glue decides to let go. It helps with the spackling/repair of the damaged drywall paper.

It also makes an excellent primer to hang wall covering on if you or anyone else runs into this and wants to hang paper on the walls again.

She has declared “There will never be any wallpaper in this house ever again!”

I’m pretty sure she means it

I did! It was so aggravating i said screw it , and i tore out and re-sheetrocked a small bathroom. To me it was easier than doing all the repair work.

No wallpaper ever again.
