Hey guys. Whar are your opinions of oreilly's microgard engine air filters?


'99 Cavalier 5w 30 SuperTech conventional
'11 Impala 5w 30 Magnatec full synthetic
'12 Colorado 5w 30 Magnatec full synthetic
*regular Wix oil filters for all

The few I have installed were made in China. Probably fine but I prefer ones made in other places.

Same as any other Wix-made jobber filter (such as Pro-Tec, Napa Silver and Proselect, etc)

There is nothing inherently wrong with them smile

Umm, haven't seen Pro Tec brand air filters.

The only Microgard air filter I've purchased was from Rockauto, and was from Fram had the Microgard contract. It was marked Made in USA. I couldn't personally tell a difference between the Microgard MGA9401 & a Fram CA9401. It's been in my truck's air box just sjort of a year, 1 more year and it'll be replaced by a Fram Tough Guard TGA9401. I paid $1 for it, I consider it a great value.
