Interesting - two filters in ONE? (not as new of a concept as some would like to think it is!!)

I'd love to see one cut open

Mercedes was using dual/bypass oil filters before Lee started building them, not sure of the year, guessing '60s?

I used a few of these back in the eighties.
At the time, there were apparently enough guys who did their own oil changes to warrant radio ads.
The jingle was:
Lee two stage maxi filters.
You can count on Lee.

Now was Lee produced as West Salem plant before Champ Labs?

They bought Lee in 1983. I think they had a two ply filter also. I used them I'm sure. I prefer the days before cell phones and PC's were developed so widely. 80's movies, no one is carrying around cell phones and jabbering on them. So different.
